Scaffolding is temporary construction equipment used during the construction, maintenance and repair of a permanent structure, which can be separated from the structure when the work is completed.
Scaffolds consist of basic components such as uprights, horizontal, diagonal, platform, heel and fasteners made of materials such as steel, aluminum, wood. Scaffolding systems are designed by considering the areas of use and the loads that will affect the system. Various scaffolding standards have been developed for use in different works. These standards specify the loads to be carried by scaffolds and the minimum design criteria that they must have in terms of safety and security.
