When selecting an industrial insulation system, the equipment's operating temperature, process fluid, ambient humidity, outer cladding needs, fire expectations, and maintenance access are evaluated together. On hot lines, heat loss and contact safety are the priorities; on cold lines, condensation, ice formation, and vapor barrier continuity come first.
